Very, VERY early MVC predictions for next season

I predicted BU at #5 last year and that was accurate.

I'd pick our Braves #1, but whenever I aim high, they underachieve. LOL

With so much uncertainty of other teams and lots of turnover, here's my feeble April attempt at the Top 5!

1) UNI
2) SIU
3) BU
4) Drake
5) Belmont

** Assuming Mosley gets drafted - otherwise, I'd switch #5 to Mo. State

There is still a lot of roster flux, so it's hard to predict. Buy I am going to guess Bradley at #2.

I think each player will be better plus with Jashon coming back Bradley will be tough to beat. The player already added and the players they will add Bradley will not skip a beat and continue play where they left off

Damn typing!!! That was Drake at # 2. Anyway I would have put Murray State in the top 5 but they got decimated by transfers. However I think they will be back in a few years though. They have a nice program going there. They will get players in for them to be competitive

I’ll make a prediction in a month or so, hard to pick anything when Murray has like 2 players committed.

If we can get a starting caliber 3/wing/shooter I think this team can finish at the top no matter who anybody else gets since Murray lost essentially their whole roster. I’m liking Pop more and more as the PG as I read more about him and I think his shooting numbers were trending in the right direction last year. I’d still like a backup PG in an ideal world. But we are a wing away from a championship level Valley team in my opinion. Great job getting a guy like Pop to replace Terry!

alot of people put UNI at # 1. I did not for the reason that when Carter left a big part of their offense left with or without Green

Clearly if Green does indeed leave, UNI would not be most people's favorite to win the Valley! Ben Jacobsen is an outstanding coach and regardless of what he starts the season with, I expect them to be competitive at the end of the year.
