  • Ville injury?

There is a picture on twitter with Ville in a hospital bed with his right foot in cast(or heavily wrapped) saying ...bounce back time? Same foot as before or new injury?

Here is the tweet from Ville-

I recognize that surgery recovery area. It is a hospital recovery unit here in Peoria, not an April Fools joke.
He appears to have had surgery on his right foot.

Recall that Ville injured his right foot in early October last year, wore a boot for 4 weeks, and missed the first 3 games of the season.
            https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...n-walking-boot

He returned and played in the next game (Missouri S&T), but then in the Paradise Jam tournament, he played in only the 1st and 3rd games, and sat out the 2nd game against Brown. From there, he played in every game the rest of the season.

Ville did not shoot well early in the season after returning to play. He was just 15-47 (31.9%) from three in the non-conference games, but improved to 32-83 (38.6%) in the MVC conference games. Overall, Ville was 47-130 (36.2%). So was the foot injury bothering him in the early part of the season?

No announcement was ever made of the nature of the injury.
Assuming this current surgery is related to the previous injury- some kinds of injuries don't heal completely and surgery is an option to insure full healing.
There are almost 6 months before the official start of practice in the fall, and 2 months before the start of the first summer session at Bradley. So this would be a good time to get this kind of issue taken care of. I'd expect Ville to be able to resume workouts and scrimmaging this summer, and be 100% by the start of next season.

Good luck and get well quickly, Ville!

My understanding is that Ville has a torn ligament in the same foot he injured earlier this year... I also believe (if all goes as planned) he will be ready to go in a few months. YES- get well quickly Ville!!

Shows what I know! Mets fans were hoping DeGrom’s MRI yesterday was a joke too!
