  • I don’t believe it is in Bradley’s interests to even try to compete with the Power 5 conferences. We couldn’t compete against Wichita State when the Koch brothers helped underwrite their program. I would think it would not be productive short term and long term.

Totally disagree with this. One has to keep striving to get better, to beat the better. To resign yourself to the idea you cant compete why even field a team. One isn't always going to win but sometimes everything falls into place and you go past what you thought capable of achieving. When one does that it makes the other times you didn't all the more enjoyable. 2006 NCAA, 1980 Olympic Hockey Team, Billy Mills in the Olympics, Jimmy Valvano, Seabiscuit, etc

I have not heard of any NIL deals among Bradley athletes, though it's possible. But I guarantee there aren't any 6 figure NIL deals.
If anyone else is aware of any, let us know.

Thank you! These NIL deals will be marketed when they start happening in order to impact future recruiting.

          • More player turnover at Missouri State- They just lost another starter from this year's team-
Sophomore Lu'Cye Patterson has entered the transfer portal. They were 2 over the scholarship limit, and now are just 1 over. But Patterson is a significant loss. He was a starter in 17 of their 18 MVC games, plus the postseason. In MVC games, he averaged 28.7 minutes per game, 8.8 ppg (3rd highest behind Mosley & Prim), and was second to Mosley in assists. He is the 7th Missouri State player to enter the portal, and the 3rd starter from this year's team to depart.
As of now, Isiaih Mosley is still on the team, but does he want to return to a team in a rebuilding state?

            • Missouri State's Isaac Haney becomes their 8th player to transfer- He is a freshman guard who was hyped as a sharpshooter.
He played in 32 games, averaged 3.6 ppg and shot 33.3%. He would have 3 more years of eligibility.
              Stats- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...77/isaac-haney
              Bio- https://missouristatebears.com/sport...aac-haney/6868

So they have had 8 players transfer, one player de-commit, and 2 exhaust eligibility. They signed 11 new players, so this now puts Missouri State even on scholarships for 2022-23.

                • With all of these transfers it is going to be interesting to see if the NCAA stands by their rule that you only get to transfer once without sitting out….or will they give a bunch of waivers.

I will be very interested to see how this goes. I foresee this like the Drake kid that went to KS.

Kentucky also pursuing shooting guard Baylor Scheierman of South Dakota State. one of the top 3-point shooters in the country-

Kentucky will also have C.J. Frederick returning from a redshirt year this past season. He lead the country in 3-point percentage in 2020-21.

                        • He may take that trade to be on a team that wins it all instead of bottom half of the league again.

124- do you mean BU should try to compete with the deeper pockets on financially-involved recruiting (within the rules)?
                            Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

Yes! Rather do that than just give up and say oh I am not good enough to stay up with them. Makes it more fun and satisfactory when you beat their a*s. They have always had deeper pockets. They just hid it.
