It's almost as if the NCAA were trying to completely destroy mid-majors and only have the power conferences left over.

If they're going to allow this insanity, they should just open it up all the way and allow these kids to sign contracts for whatever amount they can get. At least make them pay dearly for all the poaching.

The leading scorer and rebounder for Murray State, K.J. Williams, and extremely talented big man who averaged 18.0 ppg and 8.4 rpg, becomes the 3rd starter to enter the transfer portal. He will be coveted by every top school with an open scholarship.

This morning, a 7th Murray State player has entered the transfer portal- 6'2" sophomore guard Trae Hannibal, who averaged 22 mpg, 9.2 ppg, and 5.1 rpg. He was Murray State's 4th leading scorer.
These 7 players accounted for around 2/3 of their scoring and rebounding from this past season. And with their two 5th-year seniors also leaving (Carter Collins and Jordan Skipper-Brown), they will lose 6 of their top 7 scorers and around 3/4 of their scoring and rebounding. New head coach Steve Prohm will need a major rebuild.

But his coach (Will Wade) was just fired, and the LSU program is awaiting a decision from the NCAA regarding serious violations. Btw, Adam Miller might not be able to take advantage of the immediate eligibility rule with this current transfer. The NCAA instituted the rule last year, and it is still in effect. But it can only be used one time. Miller transferred from Illinois to LSU and intended to use the immediate eligibility at LSU last year, but because of his injury, he never played.
This will probably require a ruling by the NCAA to know if the immediate eligibility can be applied again with this year's transfer.

Murray State transfer Justice Hill only stayed in the transfer portal one day. He just committed to LSU and their new head coach Matt McMahon, who until a week ago was Murray State's head coach.
