Future MVC members Belmont and #19 Murray State are playing tonight in Murray, Kentucky. Murray State is 26-2 overall, 16-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference while Belmont is 24-5 overall, 14-2 in the OVC. Both teams get after it on defense. On offense for Murray Junior KJ Williams is their leading scorer and rebounder. They have a really good junior guard in Tevin Brown who averages over 16 a game and he already has 13 in this game. Sophomore point guard Justice Hill scored over 13 a game and averages 5 assists and less than 2 turnovers. Belmont had been the bully in this league for awhile and they came into this game on a 10 game winning streak but the Racers, who kicked them in Nashville by 22, are once again taking it to the Bruins leading 35-17. For Belmont senior center Nick Muszynsky and junior guard Ben Sheppard both average over 16 a game and so far in this game they have a combined 7 points. Business will most definitely be picking up next season.

Murray State won easy over Belmont 76-43. This kind of loss could certainly hurt Belmont’s chances for an at large birth if they don’t win their conference tournament. -
Yes, Belmont's NET rank is 58 now, and that will not get them an at-large bid. If they win out until their tournament championship game they could become a bubble team, but they probably need to win the OVC Tournament to get a bid.Originally posted by bigjimmy View PostComment

Last night solidified Murray State’s bid but Belmont now needs to win the OVC Tournament. I’m hoping they both get in and win games even though the OVC gets the money. It would help sell more tickets next year when they come to townBRADLEY BASKETBALL
