After the Juwan Howard incident in the handshake line following Michigan's loss to Wisconsin Sunday, there are some pundits saying the handshake line should be eliminated. Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo was asked his opinion, and he has a great response.

I do not agree. Again here we are taking away an idea for good sportmanship. You have one bad person who is not so you want to punish the rest of the world for what he did. Punish the one person not the rest of society who wants to show good sportmanshipComment

Izzo was saying that they should NOT remove the handshake from the game. He said removing it from the game would be the biggest farce/joke/ridiculous nature of anything he's ever heard of.Originally posted by carter View Post

I am saying if you are going to have a handshake line and show respect to the other team you need to start by showing respect to your own players.If you think the way Izzo rants and raves to his own player like he did when Bradley played them in the NCAA is showing respect our definition of respect is different.Coaching is one thing but the way he treated that player was
treated in front of the whole world goes beyond coaching in my opinion.That is how abuse starts.Some people have Izzo on a pedestal.
