My apologies - but I am going to "JUMP THE GUN" .... another game that has my attention is Sunday's Northern Iowa at Loyola Chicago at 2 pm MDT - just before the Super Bowl kickoff. This game will tell a lot about both teams.

Agree... Northern Iowa (10-3 in the MVC) is playing as well as anybody MVC right now. They have won 5 games in a row. No other MVC team has won more than 2 in a row. But Loyola (9-3 in the MVC) is tough to beat at home. They are 10-1 in the Gentile Center, and as we all know, the officials seem to give Loyola all the breaks. Maybe it's Sister Jean's influence.
Someone has to win this game. I think it will be Loyola, and they will take 1st place back from UNI.
Note that this game starts at 2:00 PM Central time.

Illinois State lead Indiana State for the first 30 minutes, and by as much as 16 points. Then Indiana State came back, but the Redbirds still held an 8 point lead (57-49) inside 4 minutes. But from that point, Illinois State went cold and missed their final 6 shot attempts, plus the front end of a 1 and 1 FT, It allowed Indiana State to score the last 11 points of the game to win 60-57-

Neither team shot very well. Cooper Neese had 28 points for Indiana State, but it took him 22 shots, plus going 10-11 from the FT line. Illinois State's leading scorer, Antonio Reeves, was just 6-19 for 13 points.
Indiana was a 3 point favorite, and won by 3.

A.J. Green had a good game, but he didn't get much help from the rest of the UNI players.
Loyola played very well, so likely they would have won even if UNI played their best game.
This moves Loyola back into 1st place, and Bradley stays 1½ games out of 1st.

I watched the Loyola-Northern Iowa game. I thought Northern Iowa gave them alot of open shots.I rewatched the Bradley-Loyola game (my 5th time watching it thank you Tommy) and Bradley plays very good defense. They contested every shot Loyola tried
