Vietnam infantry vet with a purple heart who got blown up by a land mine when the guy on point during recon stepped on it and he was right behind him. He has a scar from his chest to his belly button and a matching one on his back and as the story goes was walking around holding his intestines crying for mom when the medic got to him. Nothing short of a miracle that he's alive today and I know it's because my mom prayed continuously while he was over there.

Dick loves this country and fought in a war that a lot of people didn't agree with and like a lot of Vietnam vets experienced some of the anger that was misplaced on to the soldiers who were drafted to go over there. Glad to see that all vets, and particularly the ones that weren't appreciated at the time are being appreciated and honored now. Really love that they added this at BU (this says a lot of Chris Reynolds) and enjoy it even more now that they are going to honor my bro. I love him and know this will mean a lot to him as he's a HUGE BU fan (more than me) and I think his entire wardrobe consists of a Vietnam hat and about 100 BU sweatshirts. Hope as many of you can make it tonight to see him, and then watch a big win against Drake to top it all off.

Thanks for posting this Tommy! I was wondering when this was going to happen. I will be cheering him on like the rest of will tonight.

Well I can't watch the game tonight because it is on ESPN3, I subscribe to ESPN Plus but it won't show the game. No TV in my office, just computer. Very frustrating!

Great game by everyone, especially on defense tonight. This win moves Bradley into 4th place, and gives Bradley the tiebreaker over them.

ESPN+ is a streaming service you need to specifically subscribe to. ESPN3 is a channel that is bundled with most peoples’ cable/satellite/streaming TV services which carry the ESPN networks.

Guys, thanks so much for all the kind words. I only know a handful of you in person but so many of you are like old friends from all our time chatting here.

I can tell you tonight meant the world to my bro and getting the signed ball was really amazing! I’ll be posting the video of it on my YouTube channel so I’ll always have a record of it!

Thanks again guys, I read your messages to him and he was very moved by them.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

                              Great team win tonight!

Any more physical and they would have been using hockey sticks.

                                Great win.
Seemed like some bogus calls made tonight and then other times should have had some real calls made.
Still played a great "team" game.
This seems to be a very unselfish team.
