He is giving us a big boost lately - great to see with Ja'Shon's absence.
Ari's 10 points and 14 rebounds today is his first double-double this season, but it's the second of his career.
It is the first time he has reached double figures in either points or rebounds this season. His previous high for points was 8 points in the win at Drake. And his previous high for rebounds was 8 in the win over Missouri S&T.
But as a sophomore in the 2019-20 season, Ari had 14 points (still his career-high) and 12 rebounds (was his career-high until today) in a loss at Indiana State on January 25, 2000-

That was the game that Bradley played extremely shorthanded. The Braves had only 6 healthy scholarship players, plus walk-on Sean Houpt.
Darrell Brown, Jr. and Elijah Childs missed the game with injuries. Stephan Gabriel had been dismissed from the team. And, Ville was a late scratch with an acute respiratory illness.
Ari played a career-high 29 minutes in the game.

Me too. He is the engine that makes us go!

Really like Zeke's potential - we are just seeing a glimpse this year.

Four treys by Ville - sometimes that guy just looks like he can't miss.
If he doesn't have any major injuries, he should be in the Top 5 All-time in made 3's by a Brave in his career.
I agree with DC that Ville is so very important in this final stretch. When he makes 3 three-pointers a game in his BU career, we rarely lose!
Boya is playing like a man! I hope he can stay at the top of his game. I love the alley oops plays! Go Ari!

This is what we should expect in a game like this. Early on struggled on offense a little, but defense carried us until we broke out. I thought Kent looked really good today and keeps getting better. He is solid on both ends in my opinion and underrated by a lot of people.

Best game I’ve seen Boya play. The staring five I’ve said is cemented (assuming health - hope Roberts is ok). Boya has cemented himself as the backup big now, and it seems Howell is really our only backup PG option outside of some minutes from Hickman there. Howell was better today though. When he calms his game down and avoids bad turnovers he is fine.

Better game from Ville but still 2-3 of those threes were late in garbage time and he was wide open on a couple of misses still. Evansville was not athletic and short, and that helps Ville on both ends. Again, not to take anything away from him, but I want to see him do this in meaningful time against a good opponent on Wednesday. If he can, that’s huge for us, because he is our bench scoring option unless Zek is ready.

Now let’s protect the home court and send a message to the conference this week. I will be disappointed if we don’t at least win one of these two games. Roberts health will be huge though. Don’t risk his Arch Madness health if he can’t go Wednesday.

Not sure what was up with Reink yesterday. He just did not look like himself and I know Ari was playing really well but only 20 minutes for Reink is low. 4 points and 5 rebounds is a really down game for Reink.

I agree that we need at least 1 over the next 2. I don't think if Terry plays he would be at further risk of injury with a bad ankle. Most the time ankles are about pain tolerance. I know for myself I had basically the exact same thing as Terry happen to my ankle a few weeks ago but the severity of ankle injurys is different for everyone. I just hope he rolled it, not sprianed and it'll be fine by Wednesday...

i wouldn’t worry too much. Mast got fewer minutes because they didn’t need him and he probably could use some time off. Also, if he looked off, he was in the game with Ari and I think they usually spell him with Ari, not play them together. That being the case, he was playing the 4 instead of the 5, so his role was different.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

This from Dave Eminian's article in the PJ Star-
                    https://www.pjstar.com/story/sports/...ts/9310798002/

"It was an ankle," Wardle said. "Roberts, we don't know the (extent of his injury). We got to get it evaluated by the doctors as soon as we get home. Make sure he's OK. We'll know something by Monday.
"Hopefully he'll be ready to go (Wednesday against Loyola), but we have to get him looked at by our doctors first."

Terry was reported at today's women's game wearing a walking boot on his left foot/ankle.
Btw, the women ended their long losing streak with a 77-67 win against Evansville-

Coach Wardle mentioned on the post game something about it being good to get him some more rest in a game like this because he has been “sore.” So sounds like general wear and tear from a lot of minutes in conference. Might explain his game.
