Green is definitely a pure shooter. Sometimes I just shake my head watching him shoot. Unreal

Green is just flat out amazing! You really have to admire the guy and it's just enjoyable to see someone who can shoot like that play. We played pretty darn good and tight defense on him in that game (seemed like someone was always in his face), but he still managed to light it up. He really is a special player and one of the best the Valley has ever had.

That being said, we may have one of those guys in Rienk Mast. He seems to be getting better every week and the hook shot is for realz!

No weather problems in Cedar Falls other than very cold. 10 above with a wind chill factor of 9 below.
It feels like a skating Rienk for Mast.

The old saying is let the star get his points but make sure the other 4 don't and most of the time you'll win. Terry will need to be very careful that he doesn't get any cheap reach in fouls like he has a tendacy too. Have to be strong and smart with the ball and keep grinding away on defense. Let's do this boys! Get Er Done!

Hickman guarding Green most of the time! Wow, tough assignment for a freshman!

Man we have to cut down on the turnovers and shoot better from 3 in the 2nd half

Tough game to watch, but I suppose we were due for a letdown.

How is it that Hickman and Kent have 10 turnovers combined and 0 assists!?!? Not that they should have won but this is embarrassing. Oh well. Let's get back on track Saturday and be ready for 2 big home games...

For the last few minutes if the first half, and the first 10-12 minutes of the 2nd half, Bradley pulled a Jekyll & Hyde act and made UNI look like a Top 10 team. They were able to get to the basket at will, shoot a bunch of open threes, and open a 25 point lead. Bradley cut it back to 12, but could get no closer.

Rienk Mast did not have his usual good game, but still ended with 12 points and 8 rebounds
Terry Roberts had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists
                        Jayson Kent had 10 & 5
Hickman had 8, and Leons had 5

UNI shot very well, but there were more defensive breakdowns this game than in recent games. Bradley didn't get much help from the bench tonight, but the big problem was defense, plus UNI getting great games from Berhow (19 points), Carter (19), Green (18 ), and Born (15 )
                        Bradley had 18 turnovers, shot 26-59 (44%), and 7-25 from three (28%)
                        Bradley outrebounded UNI 40-28

We out rebound them by 12 but have 18 turnovers. It’s 1 game. It’s hard to do but let’s stay positive

Just another hard game to explain. Just bad defense and really poor execution on offense. Can't have 18 turnovers and just 9 assists and expect to win. Just 7-25 from 3 including at least 6 air balls is also not a recipe for success. UNI had 4 guys with at least 15 points and we just didn't compete on the defensive end. Frankly a pretty piss poor effort. As we begin the 4th month of this season I think we should be beyond this kind of effort. Better bring it against Evansville on Saturday.

A lot has been mentioned of the 5 turnover nights with no assists by Kent and Hickman. I thought Kent played hard at least, and both are young. Howell and Ville are giving absolutely nothing out there. I see both standing around a lot on defense as guys cut past them, and they can't make shots hardly at all. These are experienced guards and our main bench players. Howell is a 5th year point guard that only has a good lob to Boya once in a while, and that seems to be it. That cannot happen. Defense and turnovers have to be better to compete in March.

As much as I hate to admit it you are probably right. Maybe this is what we need for a wake up call
