Hervey was 3-star player out of New Mexico Junior College in 2020 who landed at Missouri State.-

He started all 24 games for Missouri State last season and averaged 7.4 ppg and 4.6 rpg in 27 minutes per game. He also shot 43.6% from three, by far the top 3pt percentage on their team.
But this season, he's been almost exclusively a reserve, playing just 16 minutes per game, and averaging only 3.4 ppg and 1.6 rpg. One reason he's fallen so far down the playing rotation is that former Valparaiso player Donovan Clay has taken his place in the starting lineup.
His playing time has fallen off dramatically in recent games, and in their 26-point blowout win over Illinois State 2 nights ago, he played only 6 minutes and had a stat line with all zeros- Link
