Two others were cancelled, including Bellarmine at Bradley, and Wartburg at Northern Iowa.
Bradley's next game is their first MVC road game Sunday, Jan. 2, at noon, vs. Indiana State.

The NCAA would have to follow the new CDC recommendations and revise their Covid rules, which hopefully might happen.

Indiana State had no problem with Midway University, a small NAIA school in Midway, Kentucky.

Illinois State is giving Wisconsin all they can handle. With about 6 minutes left in the game, Wisconsin leads by only 3-

ISU had cut the lead to 81-80 with 1:50 left but 3 straight questionable foul calls have gotten Wisconsin to an 85-80 lead with 43.2 left

That offensive foul was very borderline.
Hate to say it but ISU red will be a team to be reckoned with this year. Playing the Badgers without 3 of their best players to a one possession game

ISU tried but could never get over the hump as they lost 89-85 to Wisconsin. The Redbirds had 4 guys in double figures led by Antonio Reeves who had 23, who got a cheap 5th foul called on him when they were down 81-80, and Sy Chatman who had 22. ISU had only had 8 guys play as they had 3 players out due to Covid then had 3 guys foul out so all in all a pretty impressive effort. Won’t be a pushover this Valley season.

Illinois State point guard Mark Freeman left the game late with what was reported to be an ankle injury. He had to be helped off the court. They will need him in the MVC games, so hopefully the injury is not too serious.
