From Bradley Athletics:
Due to COVID-19 protocols within the Bradley men's basketball program, Wednesday’s non-conference finale versus Bellarmine has been canceled.
Fans who purchased tickets to the Wednesday, Dec. 29 contest (via season tickets, mini plans or single-game purchases) can exchange their tickets for additional seats to any remaining Bradley home game during the 2021-22 season. As an example, fans can redeem the Bellarmine game tickets in exact quantity for the Jan. 5 contest versus Missouri State (or any other home game) to use for yourself, friends, family, etc.
Tickets can be exchanged at the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office, located within Renaissance Coliseum, beginning Tuesday, December 28 during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.). For fans utilizing digital tickets, a claim can be submitted here to have tickets automatically uploaded into your account. Tickets can be exchanged anytime during the remainder of the season and ticket locations are not guaranteed.
For any questions, contact the Bradley Ticket Office at (309) 677-2625.

The CDC just announced they are recommending a shorter quarantine time for people who test positive, and for close contacts of those who do.
They recommend shortening the quarantine period from 10 days to 5 days. If the NCAA adopts this, it will get teams back much quicker if they have players who test positive.

The Big Ten revised their Covid forfeit rule-
BIG TEN CHANGES FORFEIT POLICY, CANCELLATIONS WILL NOT LEAD TO AUTOMATIC FORFEITURE
And a prediction from college basketball writer Jeff Goodman-
https://twitter.com/GoodmanHoops/sta...00580338429957
"Do NOT be surprised to see players in college basketball wearing masks during games … as soon as this week. New CDC guidelines say those who test positive need to wear masks from days 6 through 10."
This would be ridiculous if it happens. High-level athletes simply cannot breathe properly or perform at their level with masks on.
If this happened, it would look like it does in high school games-
I have yet to see a single picture or video highlight of any high school game in Illinois, Wisconsin, or any other state that requires face masks, where a single player, boy or girl, is wearing their mask properly. In other words, these mask mandates are a completely worthless farce.

It is now being reported that the Missouri Valley Conference is planning to change their strict forfeit policy, as many conferences are doing.
I expect more details to come, but here is one report that says teams with Covid issued must play if they have at least 8 healthy players and at least one healthy coach-

Still unknown is whether teams that do not meet those thresholds must forfeit, or whether postponements will be allowed like we saw last season.

Interesting....
The Bellarmine game last Wednesday (Dec. 29) was cancelled because of Covid in the Bradley program. And now Bellarmine is forced to postpone their next game at Jacksonville State, scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 4), because of Covid in their own program.
