  • Covid surge leading to cancelled games

Just within the last week or two there have been men's & women's basketball programs forced to shut down and cancel games.
As of this afternoon, there are now 14 programs on pause due to Covid, but the list is literally changing hour by hour. Fortunately, none are MVC teams so far, but this current Covid surge looks like it will get worse before it gets better,
Current list of D1 Men's Teams on Covid pause-

NFL has new and simple Covid protocol. Finally, someone is making sense. Hopefully, NCAA and schools will follow lead.

What are the odds this leads to them eliminating fans from going to games again? I hope that's not a consideration.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I mean I don't see what we have to do with players getting COVID. I think unless the city says no fans they won't stop fan attendance

Hope you're right. They shut us out from going to games again and I'm done.

No chance unless the state makes it happen, which I find unlikely at this point unless the vaccines are completely ineffective at preventing hospitalizations/death.

Restrictions would be very unpopular as it would be another major blow to the economy.

We are going to have to learn to live with covid at some point, that point might be coming very soon.
