Evansville already lost to Akron 69-60-
And Loyola lost a close game to Michigan State 63-61-
Loyola got off to a slow start. Michigan State scored the first 9 points, and Loyola did not score until almost 7 minutes were gone in the game. Then Loyola came back to take a 28-23 lead at halftime. The game stayed close throughout the 2nd half, and was tied 61-61 inside the final minute. Loyola missed a couple chances to take the lead, and Michigan State scored just before time ran out to win 63-61. Loyola is now 4-1.
