Southern Illinois is playing without 2 of their regulars, Trent Brown and Ben Harvey, but they are hanging close with Creighton at halftime-

Trent Brown started every game for the Salukis last season, but hasn't played in any games this season. He has been battling a back problem.
Ben Harvey started most of their games last season, but came off the bench in their first 2 games this season. He has not played in any of their 3 games in the Paradise Jam, and the only announcement by the head coach was that he "would not be available".-

SIU lost on a buzzer-beater shot by Creighton freshman Ryan Nembhardt 66-64-

SIU had just tied the game 64-64 on a jumper by Marcus Domask, and Creighton called timeout with 5 seconds left. Then they inbounded the ball to Nembhardt and he went the length of the court and launched a running 10 foot shot that went in for the winner.
The MVC is 0-3 so far today, with Missouri State and Valparaiso yet to play.
The Paradise Jam championship game between Northeastern and Colorado State is about to start.

Missouri State is playing Long Beach State in the first round of the Naples Invitational. MSU could not miss and did everything right in the first half and leads LBSU by 30 points, 55-25.-
MSU shot 67.7% overall (21-31) and they were 81.8% from three (9-11). They outrebounded LBSU 18-12, had only 3 turnovers and 4 team fouls. And they played great defense, allowing LBSU only 31% from the floor (9-29).
Hard to understand how this Missouri State team lost earlier to SEMO.
SEMO is 1-2. They lost to Youngstown State and Arkansas State, and are losing tonight to D2 Missouri Baptist.Comment
