No stats are available, but the above article quotes WIU head coach Rob Jeter saying, "They shot lights out... we can’t give up threes late.”
UIS does not have much size. They have only one player on their roster taller than 6'7", and that's a 6'10", 267 lb. 2nd year freshman from St. Louis who played in only 9 games last season and averaged 0.6 ppg and 0.0 rpg..
9 of the 15 players on their roster are listed as freshmen (some are listed as 2nd year freshmen). They have 3 sophomores, one junior and two seniors.
UIS Roster- https://uisprairiestars.com/sports/m...ketball/roster
Their leading returning scorer is 6'1" 3rd year guard Chase Robinson, who averaged 17.4 ppg last season as a sophomore. He shot 37.8% overall and 29.4% from three. Other returnees include 6'6" 2nd year forward Jack Weber, who averaged 12.4 ppg, 5'11" 4th year guard Trey Marble, who averaged 10.5 ppg and was their leading three point shooter at 38.8%. These three were starters last season, and will likely start against Bradley.
One other returning player is 6'6" senior G/F Jesus Castillo, who played in only 6 games and started 4. He averaged 4.5 ppg. No other returning player averaged more than 3 ppg or started any games last season.
Two transfer players will likely get significant playing time and may start. 6'4" 5th year guard Chris Hamill transferred from Rockhurst University where he averaged 13.1 ppg over 3 seasons and was one of the top 3-point shooters in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. And 6'5" forward juco transfer James Kelley who averaged 17.8 points and 7.0 rebounds a game at Southwestern Community College over his 2-year career, and was a good 3-point shooter as well.
