Of all the times I could find reference to Smith on the Web, those that spell his first name "Kenyon" predominate 3 or 4 to 1.
But the Sun Times, ilprepbullseye.com, and a few other places use "Keyon"
while Rivals, the Trib, and the official IHSA websie, which would have certainly gotten the spelling from Simeon, all use

I agree though. It is confusing. I haven't seen a difinitive answer or explanation. I suppose the young man himself will have to clarify.
