Not much detail is being released why SIU fired their Athletic Director Liz Jarnigan. She was named AD Sept. 16, 2019, less than 2 years ago when the previous AD, Jerry Kill left to take a position at Virginia Tech. It is highly unusual for an AD to be suddenly fired without a reason given or some kind of news of irregularities or an investigation. But so far, no reason has been given.
