  • College basketball's top 100 players

There is about 2 months to go until the start of the 2021-22 college basketball season, and we are starting to see more articles like this one.
One blogger's list of the Top 100 College Basketball Players-
    https://www.three-man-weave.com/3mw/...0-players-2022

It seems well researched, but he was not kind to the MVC. The only MVC player listed among the Top 100, and even the Honorable Mention List, is #92 A.J. Green. And, I don't think Green will be the best player in the MVC this season.
I hope Green has a good comeback season, but he missed nearly all of last season with his hip injury, and is now returning after major surgery. I would be surprised if he is able to reproduce his level of play from his 2019-20 Player of the Year season.

Coach - who do you think will be the best player in the Valley this year?

    My choice - Rienk Mast.
    Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Rienk would be a dark-horse candidate.

      My picks would be:
Gaige Prim (Missouri State)- 5th year senior,1st team 2021 All-MVC, top rebounder (9.1 rpg in 2020-21), top FG% (59.9%), and the best big man in the MVC
Isiaih Mosley (Missouri State)- returning leading scorer in the MVC (19.8 ppg), and 1st team All-MVC
Roman Penn (Drake)- senior, 2021 1st team All-MVC, and he was on track for possible POY last season when he got hurt
ShanQuan Hemphill (Drake)- 5th year senior, 2nd team All-MVC in 2021, he was leading Drake in scoring and multiple other categories when he got injured, and at the time of his injury, Drake was leading the MVC; they finished 2nd, picking up 2 of their 3 losses on the season after Hemphill got injured.
Tyreke Key (Indiana State)- 5th year senior, 1st team 2021 All-MVC, top returning MVC career scorer, chances of POY will probably be hurt by playing on a team that won't likely be a contender.
For the record, I think Drake and Missouri State will be the top 2 teams, which helps their guys' chances.

A.J. Green (UNI)- like I said above, he could be there, but I'm thinking his hip injury will change his game a little and make it a little harder to get his shots.
