  • Creighton Athletic Director retired- Could Bradley's Chris Reynolds be a candidate?

Creighton's long-time Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen (27 years) recently retired-

The same day Rasmussen retired, his Associate AD also retired, leaving a void in their leadership-

Creighton has begun a search, and there have been rumors they intend to hire within their department. However, nothing has been stated officially, and there have been no names mentioned.
However, a Creighton twitter guy posted this rumor

I am not convinced this is real likely, but I have no real knowledge of who they have contacted or whether Dr. Reynolds would be interested. Judging from the twitter guy's past posts, he seems more like a peripheral fan, and doesn't appear to have any inside info or post any real breaking news. So it is likely just a wishful thought of his.
Creighton, a Big East member, does have more resources and would be able to pay more. Rasmussen's salary was reported to be about $1 million per year.
Dr. Reynolds was recently signed to a contract extension at Bradley, but specific terms were not made public.
It is likely that his salary at Bradley is not quite where Creighton's AD is. I hope we can keep Dr. Reynolds at Bradley.

I think Creighton has some problems we are not seeing. They lost quite a few of their top players and now their number 1 and number 2 men in the athletic department are also bailing. If I were Dr. Reynolds I would not take it.

Chris Reynolds is the epitome of what you'd want in an AD. Guy turned our program around with one move by hiring BW and he's gotta be the most personable AD we've ever had at BU. Guy is always out talking to fans and is never too busy for a conversation when approached, and he is one of the classiest individuals I've ever met. Losing him would be terrible.

I would hope that BU would do everything they could to keep him around, as he is an absolute difference maker and just an all around great guy. Glad to see that the Creighton thing doesn't seem to have much substance. Let's hope that's accurate!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
