  • Bradley freshman forward Thomas Hall to quit basketball and switch to football?

Jim Mattson on WEEK TV sports just reported that Bradley freshman forward Thomas Hall is going to quit college basketball and focus on getting recruited to play college football.
Hall was a Class 5A All State quarterback at Metamora High School, and he had interest from a number of schools before a serious knee injury in the 2018 state playoffs ended his football season prematurely, and also wiped out most of his senior year playing basketball.

    If true, good luck Thomas!

That means someone else may be transferring to play basketball.

Best of luck to Thomas. I'm sure he will get some looks. 6'9" QBs are a rarity.

The someone is not anyone at BU that is expected back. If everything works out for a former BU player , he may play his COVID additional year at another school. Hannah, Kent and the players that have been speculated will be here and ready to go. Ja’Shon’s ankle is now 100% and he is setting a new all time high on the bench press. The good news is that he will be a Junior this coming year.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

You are on the right track, Tommy.

But there is no official decision, yet.

I guess the point I wanted to make is it’s not someone we expect to be on the team. All the guys will be here.

Are you saying JH will be a junior because of the extra covid year? He was a junior this year.

I’m saying he has reclassified as a Junior to take advantage of the extra year.

Elijah Childs was the player I was hinting at when I posted that there would be one other Bradley player who would enter the Transfer Portal. I gave a bit of a clue with the larger font for the "e" and the "c" in the word decision.

Eli was deciding between leaving to play pro vs. transferring and playing an extra year. He was not going to return to Bradley. That was a decision made by the Bradley administration. Watch for him to land at a high major school.

What would Wardle have done if given the green light by the Bradley Admin? It seems as if Childs should be innocent until proven guilty, right?

A high major program who isn’t typically concerned about the optics of bringing in a player actively dealing with an investigation for a sexual crime. Hmm. Should be interesting. I agree super sad ending from a BU perspective.
