ESPN has ranked recruiting classes for 2008, so far. AQnd the list is loaded with the usual suspects. It seems these top recruits would rather go to these top schools whether or not they have room for them, or whether they'll see much playing time. Too bad, they could showcase their talents as well and maybe immediately if they would consider the midmajors. But the lure of playing on TV and getting ESPN highlights is obviously quite strong.
What's worse is that of the remaining uncommitted top players for 2008, most are considering many of these same top schools where playing time will be tough to come by.
Note SIU is one of the others listed at the bottom. But that may not take into account that their #1 recruit has reneged (Torres Roundtree).
