The coaches are very aware we need another shooting guard (emphasis on the "shooting"), and another big man.
One other aspect of Terry Roberts' game that the coaches like is his defense. He is a terrific defensive player, despite the fact that at the top levels of junior college, there is not always a lot of defense played. He helped Florida Southwestern College to become a very good defensive team.
Florida Southwestern College averaged 88.3 points scored, and only 70.6 ppg allowed. They held opponents to 41.3% overall and 32.5% on threes. Those are all pretty good numbers for juco.
Terry Roberts averaged 2.7 steals per game. By comparison, the top steals player in the MVC this year averaged just 1.6 steals per game.
Bradley has had a lot of good guards, but has not had anyone come close to that figure for over 20 years. If you watch the recent videos of him, you'll see a little of his defensive capabilities, along with his ability to drive to the basket or find open teammates-
Short memory dc, Dyricus Simms-Edwards averaged 2.5 steals per game in the 2012-2013 season, bumped up slightly to 2.6 in conference play.
Yes, you are right, but still short of the 2.7 steals per game Terry Roberts had this season, and DSE was named the MVC Defensive Player of the Year that year for a play-in team.
