  • Familiar name in the Transfer Portal

Former Bradley player Lou Griffith has entered his name into the Division II Transfer Portal.
Lou, originally from Washington, IL, was a walk-on with the 2016-17 Bradley team- https://bradleybraves.com/sports/men...-griffith/9182

Then he transferred to St. Thomas Aquinas College, a pretty good D2 team in Sparkill, NY.
He sat out the 2017-18 season, and played the next 3 seasons there, compiling decent numbers.
2018-19- he averaged 7.9 ppg and shot 38.3% from three- https://www.stacathletics.com/sports...Griffith_Louis
2019-20- he averaged 8.0 ppg and shot 38.0% from three- https://www.stacathletics.com/sports...Griffith_Louis
2020-21- he averaged 8.1 ppg and shot 36.6% from three- https://www.stacathletics.com/sports...Griffith_Louis

    Louis played mainly point guard.
2018-19 they finished 25-7, and lost in the East Regional Final game.
2019-20 they finished 25-5, and may have had their best team with a chance to advance to the D2 finals. But unfortunately, their season was cancelled as they were starting the East Regionals.
This season (2020-21), a shortened schedule, they were 14-2, and lost in the D2 East Regional Final game.

Here is another familiar name the just entered the Transfer Portal- Minnesota center (and former Drake center) Liam Robbins-

He is the 7th Minnesota player to do so.
Maybe he doesn't want to play for new Minnesota head coach Ben Johnson.
Liam Robbins' uncle, Ed Conroy, who was an assistant under Pitino and was one of the reasons Robbins chose to transfer to Minnesota, is the only Pitino assistant still listed as an assistant coach under new head coach Ben Johnson.
However, it's reported that Johnson is unlikely to retain Conroy or any of Pitino's staff.

Would be nice if we could get Liam to come to BU. Starting up a GoFundMe account.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Liam was a guy that Bradley couldn't stop - kinda like Krutwig.
Would certainly be nice to have him in a BU uniform!

I hate to toss cold water on this subject, but there is no chance of Bradley getting Liam Robbins. He will have numerous high-major offers.
If he did return to the MVC, he'd likely go back to Drake.

Liam Robbins is transferring to Vanderbilt, where his uncle (Ed Conroy) just got hired after Minnesota fired him with the rest of their coaching staff.

Another somewhat familiar name just entered the transfer portal- Aaron Cook spent his first 4 seasons at SIU (2016-2020). He redshirted his 4th season at SIU due to injury. Then he transferred as a grad-transfer to Gonzaga, where he played a reserve role in 2020-21 on their team that went undefeated until losing in the National Championship game to Baylor.
Now, with the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA, he has entered the transfer portal again-

Liam Robbins followed his uncle to Vanderbilt. He is not going anywhere else.
