I highly doubt I'll be surprised. His GB past, the fact that he has not won a reg season title, had a ranked team, or ever recruited NBA talent will significantly limit him. Factor in as DC said that they can pay big money, and are a fairly attractive destination, I'd keep my eyes on Belein or Moser.

For the record, I really like Wardle. However, for him to make the jump he has to improve recruiting.

After doing some more reading, I have to concur. The past at GB and the tiff with Dave Reynolds seem to be rather large clouds that hang over.

It appears Marquette fans are mostly very happy with this hire.

It also appears Texas fans are happy Smart is gone.

Interesting move. Not so much pressure at VCU compared to Texas.
Moser may take notice.. it would be similar for him if he has eyes on the Indiana job.
Still it pays well...
