The new MVC Commissioner will be Jeff Jackson.
Most recently, he has been Associate Commissioner of the Big 12 in charge of running basketball.

And prior to his work in administration, he had a long career as a coach, including head coaching stints at Furman and New Hampshire and assistant coaching positions at Cornell, USC, St. Bonaventure, Colorado State, Stanford, and Vanderbilt.

There are already a number of national basketball people saying this is a great hire.
He certainly has a lot of experience in basketball administration as Associate Commissioner in the Big 12 and Deputy Commissioner in the Big South. Virtually his whole life seems to have been dedicated to basketball. And the great majority of his past has been at the mid-major level. Good luck to him!
