Yes, but we are not supposed to be in a rebuilding year right now. I have to say, I find myself constantly wondering “what happened?”.

Either way, Wardle has earned my trust. And it’s very hard to navigate a pandemic with college athletes. Plus, I know the players are super angry about the whole police thing.

But I don’t think ANY of them truly understand the politics of that situation within the “me too” movement. Any whiff of college players being protected would’ve been a PR nightmare for Bradley. Even if nothing inappropriate went down.

I would hope they'd have the integrity to do the right thing and not the politically expedient thing.

That's not the first time I've heard that. Certainly seems suspect.

I'm with ya Big Mike. I thought East and Mast were the bright spots on a rather dismal season.
I honestly don't know when we've had as good a PG as a sophomore as East was...maybe Sammy M? DB had a solid soph season, but got better his last 2 seasons.

I have heard this too, but no one has elaborated. Just that they were set up. Set up by who?

Someone hoping to get 2 easy wins for Missouri State I'd assume.

Problem with that idea is that they were still up at all hours of the night, the night of a game. That's an issue in and of itself. Now were they set up? Maybe, but they shouldn't have been up that late regardless

Woomp there it is. Frankly getting transfers at a mid major is always a crap shoot. Sometimes you hit the number on the nose and sometimes you roll craps. The 20-21 season is unlike any we've ever seen on the Hilltop. I trust Coach Wardle will make sure this past season was an aberration not a pattern.

Bingo. They were already making poor choices by being up late night before a game with non Bradley people, I don't doubt other poor choices could have been made that night. They should have never even been in that situation in the first place because 1) there was a game the next day 2)unnecessary covid exposure risk for the whole team. I see very very very little motivation for this to be a "set up" in order for Missouri State to beat up even more on bottom dwelling Bradley. Let's hold our players accountable instead of try to make up excuses for their poor (and possibly much worse) actions. Bradley could have tried to sweep this all under the rug and hope no one finds out but they did the absolutely right thing.

I totally agree!! Thats the problem with alot of people. They want to blame somebody else. ( ask a bank robber why he robbed the bank. They made me do it because they had all this money laying around in there vault)

That was the problem I had with that whole Nolan email he sent out. Maybe he did not commit any legal crimes that night but they were obviously doing something they shouldn't have been doing, otherwise they still wouldn't be investigated by Bradley. Take some accountability for your actions instead of blaming the media for finding out about it. Apologize to fans and supporters for being involved in something that should have never happened in the first place. As far as I know, no one in the media publicly accused them of anything. It was just reported they were suspended and being investigated by the police.

I am just tired of people on here making excuses for these guys, if these players really cared about their team or Bradley none of this would have happened. If they really cared they would have been in bed at reasonable time that night. I'm sure Wardle has stressed to his players about their behavior on and off the court.

That being said we are going to need someone to play point guard. Are there any decent guards at the Peoria high schools? Manual has always been a good spot to look!
Wow - this for a guy who had the best assist-turnover ratio of any BU PG in like 15 yrs and who led the team in 3-pt fg accuracy, and actually knew what to do with the ball among all our guards, giving other guys easier shots...as a sophomore who had to fight an illness at midway mark of season. Further, he was one of only guys on/off the court encouraging others and teaching them during time-outs and in the huddle.
Not sure how some fans got this impression of East. His game was not like DB Jr - maybe some thought he would be.

Gonna miss this kid. Was my 2nd favorite Brave this past year.
