Sister Jean is now 101 years old, and still very much involved with the basketball team as the official team chaplain. With Loyola back in the NCAA Tournament, expect to see a lot more articles about her.

It really says a lot about our society these days if they wouldn't let a 101-year old woman (who's also been vaccinated) do whatever she wants, especially when she's basically the team's spiritual leader and mascot (and I don't mean that in a derogatory way). #freeSisterJean

Loyola and the NCAA apparently were not willing to face the negative backlash if they followed through with their initial stance of prohibiting Sister Jean from accompanying the team.

Loyola's Sister Jean is no longer associated with the Missouri Valley Conference, but it's hard not to be a fan of hers.
She is still alive at the age of 103, and involved with Loyola sports.

They pick Loyola 4th in their first season in the A-10. I think that is too high. If Loyola finishes 4th, then the A-10 is a lot weaker than I thought.
