I have been watching a lot of basketball, and seen some questionable calls. But this one from the CUSA tournament wins the prize for the worst call yesterday-

You have to wonder.... blown calls happen in every game, but I am not sure I have ever seen an endline or sideline out of bounds call that was that wrong.
Officials know there are multiple video angles that will show whether an endline violation like that is correct. You'd think he would be absolutely sure about it before he blows his whistle, and makes a demonstrative call.
This was a crucial call late in the game with the score tied. The UTEP basket that was nullified would have given them the lead, but instead, Florida Atlantic went ahead, and held on for the win.
Unfortunately, as a result, this official's "blown call" becomes the headline reason UTEP lost-

I have never been a sports official, but if I was, the one rule I would adhere to is that you should only blow the whistle if you saw the violation clearly and were 100% sure about it.
