After you cleared security there was a table of these giveaways and staff handing them out. I believe it was the first 2000-3000 fans. My family of 6 each got a ring and I absolutely prohibited my kids from opening or trying them on until the victory was secured. Seemed like terrible mojo to put them on before/during the game.

Cameron Krutwig only had 8 points.
Jacob Hutson played very little this season, appearing in only 11 games and averaging 5.7 minutes per game in those 11 games. He has 13 points today, but has averaged only 2.9 ppg and 1.1 rpg this season, mostly in garbage time playing behind Cameron Krutwig.

Loyola never trailed in this game, opening a 10-0 lead after 3 1/2 minutes. Without Jones SIU just didn't have enough fire power to keep it close. Loyola led by 13 at the half then went on a 16-0 run early in the 2nd half to prevent a repeat of what happened in their OT game last weekend against SIU. Coming off of that game and losing to Valpo in the quarterfinals last year gave them plenty of extra motivation. They were able to play a lot of players so they should be pretty fresh to face the winner of Indiana State and Evansville.

Indiana State took the lead over Evansville just before halftime, and never relinquished it.

If you are wondering why you can't find the Drake-UNI game on TV, despite it was scheduled to start at 5:08 pm... apparently the game has been cancelled due to Covid protocol. No clarification has been given yet. Someone from one of the two teams must have had a positive test.
Apparently, Drake came onto the floor for a shootaround, but the UNI team has not been seen. That would suggest it is UNI that either has a positive test or has somehow violated the Covid protocols.

Here is a bit more info-

This source reports that a UNI player has tested positive, however, I cannot vouch for the veracity of this tweet.
The 5:00 pm game between UNI and Drake will not be played. The MVC has probably got a plan to deal with things like this, but there hasn't been any announcement what action will be taken. If this is true, will they eliminate UNI and advance Drake without playing the game? Or is there some other solution?

Anyone else watching the final quarterfinal game between Missouri State and Valparaiso?
Talk about futility... we've seen some lousy starts by Bradley this season, but Valpo must feel like there is a lid on the basket. They have only scored 4 points in the first 10+ minutes of the game and Valpo trails Missouri State 16-4.

Valpo is 1-15 from the floor.

Halftime score- Missouri State 31 Valparaiso 13
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broad...291&confid=mvc
Valpo's poor shooting continued through the entire 1st half. They are 4-30 (13.3%) from the floor, and 1-10 from three. Some of it is good defense by MSU, but mostly it's poor shot selection, and missing open shots. Their 5 starters are a combined 2-17.

As bad as both teams in the ISU Blue/Evansviile shot the ball in the 2nd half, ISU was 6-21 overall and 2-10 from 3 and Evansville overall was 5-26 and just 1-12 from 3, Valpo was downright horrid in the first half as they trail Missouri State 31-13. Valpo was just 4-30 overall, 13%, and were just 1-10 from 3. Valpo scored just 4 points in the first 10:00 of the half and if not for a last second putback would have gone the last 5:00 without scoring. Isiaih Mosley led the way with 16 points and 7 boards on 7-10 shooting. He made 3 more FG's then the whole Valpo team. Think about that.

Valpo certainly gave a better effort in the second half and actually got it down to 8 points with 11:32 left but that's as close as they got as Missouri State won 66-55. Mosley ended up with 29 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Bears. Valpo was 14-35 in the second half, 5-16 from 3. The game also featured the first woman referee ever at Arch Madness in Amy Bonner. She was also the first woman to officiate an men's basketball A10 history in December 2020.

Outside of BU, Valpo is my favorite team in the Valley. We've run into the team and their coach at Sugarfire in St. Louis both last year and just this Thursday and they are just nice guys as well as a pretty fun team to watch. Sackey is my favorite non-Brave player in the Valley and I just really love his game. Very disappointed they didn't get a win, but not as disappointed as us not getting one!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Loyola advances to the Arch Madness finals with a 65-49 win. Cameron Krutwig led the Ramblers with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Loyola never trailed and the lead was in double digits for the last 30 minutes. The winner of Drake/Missouri State is in for one tough game tomorrow.

BUSongwriter (and anyone else who can't get CBSSports Network), the only other alternative for the Drake-MSU game at 3:00 pm today would be to try one of the many bootleg websites that take the broadcast and stream it on their website.
There are many such free-streaming websites, but I'd suggest this one. It is simpler, has few or no ads, and is pretty good quality-
Direct link to CBSSports Network video stream (Drake-Missouri State game starts at 3:00 pm)-
The video stream should start on it's own, but if it doesn't, click on the arrow in the center of the screen. If a separate window pops open or if an ad pops up, close it and click on the arrow again. Rarely, it could take a couple tries to get the CBSSports Network stream, but it will eventually start. It has always started on its own for me.
Also, though I have never seen it on this website, don't accept any downloads, just close any window that tries to get you to download.
