  • Thoughts on today's and past games

Haven't posted in a few years. Again disappointed in the way Bradley played today. I'll throw out some thoughts that came up during this game and season. Why the lazy passes after 20 games? Why does Coach Wardle play 3 guards? I'm fine with Nolan and McAdoo (East if available). Why can't Henry or Hannah or Kent start instead of Tahvanainen? I hope Kent and Hannah don't transfer because of lack of playing time. Why doesn't Linke play? I'm surprised that Boya is and Henry was so important! I am very happy with the play of Mast! I think that Bradley has the talent to have been better this year. I hope that in the remaining games, the guys that should be playing the most minutes, are. I hope that this game is the beginning of a string of wins. Go Bradley!!!

55 - some good observations. Several players have not yet lived up to expectations this year, and others have been inconsistent. Henry is one of our most effective players, but he can’t stay on the floor due to fouls. It’s a mess right now.

As coach Stowell used to say, we are capable.
    Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

Henry my favorite Brave in the last 20 yrs, but those fouls killin’ his time on the court!

I think Wardle rested JaShon a little more so he can dominate today! (Hopeful anyhow)

Great points above by fan55. Thanks for sharing!
If Ville doesn’t start making 3’s, then either Mast will need to fill that hole, or we most likely lose!
Yesterday 1st game we won that Ville didn’t make a 3.
Love that kid’s game and feel bad he’s slumping right now from deep.

I still believe strongly that Ville will be close to breaking the Braves All-time 3-pointers made record...just doesn’t look good as we sit here today.

I think that it was great to see Nolan have a nice offensive game. He is the key to our success offensively. McAdoo looked ok, but his on the ball defense was not good. Actually, we had quite a few guys easily beat off the dribble with their man not only getting into the paint but all the way to the rim. We still give up too many clean looks at 3's. We also seem to struggle getting through screens on the defensive end and we have to lead the league in offensive fouls from moving screens in the past 5 years. I agree with more minutes for Hannah and Kent. I think they have earned it. I still don't understand all the love for Mast. I realize that he made a few 3's yesterday and has contributed some scoring recently. He is shooting less than 30% on 3's. I don't want Mast or Henry shooting 3's unless it's late in a possession and they are wide open. I want to see Henry attacking the rim. I want to see Nolan attacking the rim. I want to see Childs and Hannah attacking the rim. Also, Mast's defense is killing us. I counted 4 missed defensive rebounds in the first 3 minutes of yesterday's game as he fails to box out or jump or both, allowing his guy to secure or tap out the ball and give 2nd chances to our opponents. This kills the team defense concept and can change the outcome of a game when our opponents convert on these 2nd chances. I do not buy in to any spin that our team defensive stats are exceptional in any way. Our individual and team defense can be much better.

Mast is a 3 pt shooter...always has been. I want him to shoot it any time he is open. So far today in 1st half Henry having bad game, getting beat on D' and missing 2 good passes to him in the paint. Hannah is not getting enough minutes as he has been productive in the short time he has played today.
