Well it's hard to win when Childs has an off day on offense. Nice game by Mast and good 2nd half by Henry. Today shows again that we are not a good team.....hope East comes back at point.

Disgusting to lose to a very mediocre SIU team.
No offensive flow AGAIN in 2nd half. We have a bunch of Mahomes handing ball off at the top.

We need a strong East to keep us flowing.

This team is getting to be as hard to watch as the Bears.

I expected a better showing by Bradley this weekend but more of the same.
We are not much better than SIU or Valpo.

We have the players - not sure what’s going on.

Another really disappointing loss by Bradley. This was a game they should have won.
SIU shot well enough to stay close, then bad shot selection and poor decisions late gives SIU the 69-68 win-

Bradley drops to 10-11 and 4-8. SIU is now 9-7, 3-7. It is looking more likely Bradley will be playing on Thursday in St. Louis. The next 3 games are on the road- Wednesday at Valparaiso, then Sat. & Sun. at Missouri State.

Valpo, SIU, Illinois State and UNI. 4 teams we should have easily swept this year. At best, we can split with all of them. It’s possible we go 2-6 against those 4 teams. That’s unacceptable for this program. We’re more talented than this. We’re better than this. I don’t know what is wrong with this team.

Today couldn’t have gone any worse for Bradley. A win would’ve helped, but as long as Indiana State and Drake took care of business, Bradley would’ve still been in a good position to finish in the top 6. But both teams lose and now Bradley is sitting really ugly with series against Mo. State and Drake still to come. This Valley season has been a nightmare.

Many seasons with high (or higher) expectations for so many teams can be ruined by things fans don't know. Off-court issues. Breaking of team rules. Chemistry of players and coaches. Personal/family issues. A bad attitude (and spills over to others).

Night and day difference today in each half. For whatever reason we have a hard time sustaining our offense for a whole game. The 1st half we were 16-28 overall, 6-12 from 3 and we had 11 assists on those 16 FG's. In the 2nd half we shot 9-27 overall, 2-12 from 3 and we had just 3 assists. Playing iso ball is fine when you're moving the ball and setting good screens but when it boggs down it looks ugly and you go for stretches of 0 points which we did in the 2nd half for a 4:00 stretch. Defensively I think we really miss Boya's inside presence. We also allow teams to get too many open looks from 3. 17 games teams have shot more than 20 3's, 4 times more than 30, and there are 10 games teams have made at least 10 3's. If we want to avoid playing on Thursday at Arch Madness we have to beat Valpo and win 1 of the 2 games at Missouri State next weekend. Time is running out.

I'm speechless. At this point, I'm just hoping we can get Boya back by tournament time and that his presence helps make a difference. I just don't know what to think anymore with this team. Grossly underperforming.
                    Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Way too many mental mistakes again, and a lack of mental toughness. Where was Hannah in the second half? With Boya out, I'd sure like see Mast, Hannah, and Childs playing together and see what they can do.

Couple of things BU is currently doing that is frustrating

                        1. When we do get a lead of any more than 6 points, we play ABSOLUTELY horrible offensively until the other team ties it or takes the lead. Usually starts with a Child’s missed jumper that he settles for instead of pounding inside. WE CANNOT PUT PPL AWAY

                        2. Defensively, why in the world are double teaming players like filewich in the post, leaving three 40% 3 point shooters wide open? If we lost to SIU with filewich somehow going off for 30 points in the post then so be it.. I don’t get it.. he can barely score if nobody is guarding him.. he does not need to be doubled down on

                        3. When we are in a zone we act like every player is Larry Bird. U go to a zone to be able to “funnel shots” to a certain area or player. You should to a reasonable degree be able to dictate that. We jump at every pump fake or over rotate to a player at the 3 line who has no prayer of making a 3 just leave a real shooter wide open... it’s unreal.. need to understand who we are guarding and where.

                        4. Dribble penetration and help D. We are allowing way to much penetration, but we are also helping way too much. We need to understand when to makes some players beat us at the rim vs selling out and leaving wide open 3 point shooters... 75% of the guards in this league are not big time finishers, they’d rather drive and kick, and nobody gets beat on this more than us. I know Boya helps, but these other teams don’t have a Boya and they do just fine

                        5. lastly, I know it’s the thing in college, but just seems like there are too many ball screens... run some off ball screens and back screens for Nolan and Ville for some catch and shoots... and sometimes just plant mast and childs on the block and get them the ball.. mast can do more damage on the block like he did at ISU

THERE IS MY RANT... SO FRUSTRATING

Hate to bring this up again, but we need East at his best to really flow as a team.
He adds so much to this team. He had a couple bad games leading up to his illness, but has been one of our bright spots this year and brings consistency. It’s been only 4 games, but I really miss having his presence on the floor, and he’s tougher than he may look to some. Only guy that has made me forget a little about the loss of DB Jr. is East, and he’s just a soph.
