  • How do we turn this thing around?

Just a couple weeks ago a 9-4 start and thinking of contending for the Valley Crown.
Now sitting at 9-8, looking like a bottom-half Valley team and looking as if we'll be trying to stay out of the Thursday play-in game.

It is quite noticeable the difference in our offense from fluid to lotta dribble and create 1-on-1 hero-ball. This has to be on the coaches to correct!
Our defense is bad a defending the 3, which is better than bad against the 2, but still, we've been beat big-time on the perimeter the past 4 games.

Wardle got the guys prepped to play Valpo, which was not an easy task after the gut-blows vs Loyola.
You can tell the mental aspect is weighing down on this Braves team. We felt invincible at times early in the season - there was fire and the guys had confidence in each other on the court. Not that evident lately.

Whether or not the near 3-week layoff can be attributed to our breakdown, we can't just revert to that excuse if we want to do something with this season...it's falling fast.

Personally I'd rather save our best play for next season when things hopefully become more normal, but I'd hate to just give up on this season with Childs being a senior and having a rock solid season.

Just a tough time, and we'll get through it.

It’s funny... this is the third year in a row where we have a decent team and a good outlook.... then hit the skids mid season. We went 0-5 in Valley in 2019 and ended up in the dance. Last year we were in the 4-5 game Arch madness.

My point is Wardle’s successful Bradley teams always position themselves as the underdog with the goal of a late season run. I don’t know why, and I’m not saying it’s intentional, but it’s true. In late Feb, we will hear a quote from our team captains saying something to the effect of “It’s winning time, baby.”

in other words we’ve got them right where we want them.
    Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

Dub - you made my day, bro.
I've got a better outlook on things. I hope this isn't the trend for rest of Wardle era, cause it sucks to have potential of winning the Valley and then this 1 mid-season skid thwarts our chances.
It's AWESOME that Wardle has the boys playing at their best in Feb and March.

Our team is getting worse, and that's something I don't recall seeing last season.
No need to panic - let's stay hopeful!

      Go BRAVES!!!
(Theme until mid March) WE STILL BELIEVE!

Hard not to have confidence in Wardle righting the ship after all he's done for our program to this point. I still believe this team has even greater depth and potential than last year's, but it's just not showing right now. This is the same team that took Missouri and Xavier to the wire, it seems like we really play to our competition right now.

I agree - now that I've had some time to calm down from that devastating loss, my patience and confidence is returning.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

          Love this Tommy.
I also feel like our potential is greater than last year's team, and we are very talented (with a healthy Ja'Shon)
Mast, Ville are in mini-slumps and we need their contribution. Nolan is trying too hard IMO.
East has been our most consistent player other than Eli, and that bodes well for us in next 2 seasons.
I like Antonio Thomas's contributions and our freshmen show a lot of upside.

Let's get at least 1 out of 2 in Terre Haute to feel good about the rest of the season!

Right on, buddy. A couple wins could change the mood real quick!

              For sure!
It's just bizarre to watch that team last night compared to what we saw earlier in the season.
It truly looked like some of Geno's teams with lack of offensive flow and lots of hero ball.
I hope Coach W can see that most of all!

That's exactly what I was thinking!
