Bradley leads 31-30 at halftime. They lead by as much as 12 points (16-4), but a 12-2 run by ISU between 9:25 and 5:23 of the half tied it at 22-22.
Bradley just 1-8 from three. BU forwards (Mast, Childs, & Hannah) have 24 points on 12-21 shooting. BU guards (Tomas, Nolan, Kenyt, Tahvanainen, East, & Kingsby) have just 7 points on 3-12 shooting.
Bradley has not attempted a free throw.

I wish it was Brian Bedo.
The play-by-play announcer is Kurt Pegler. The color guy is Bob Morris, who doesn't appear to do much pregame prep and who adds very little other than being an ISU cheerleader.

        Why isn't Henry playing?

Bob Morris ws a head coach at U-High for many years and for a short period of time was an assistant for ISU. Matt McClain who pairs up with Brian Bedo for the home BU games, is really not any better than Morris.

Embarrassing loss. But the first real clunker performance of the season. Every other loss was a close game against a good opponent.
            Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

This is the first season Matt has ever done TV or radio games. As far as an "analyst" goes, I do think he is much better. He actually adds information and insight to the game, and he'll get better.
Morris has been doing games for decades. Matt at least does a lot of pregame prep, knows the players' names, stats, etc (Morris has gotten Bradley players' names wrong several times). I do not think Morris does pregame prep. But his comments never include any real information or analysis. But, I would like Morris if I was an ISU fan, because he is such a cheerleader.

My gosh what an embarrassment. I hope we can learn from this, and bounce back. We need Henry back ASAP.

We need to flush this one down the toilet, dump it in the sewer, and never speak of this again. To get outscored by 27 points in the last 29:00 by a 4-8 bad ISU Red team is unreal. Not having JaShon did hurt us but not enough to have this result. The guys better lace up their shoes real tight the next few days as I'm sure Brian is going to be on them in practice. Hopefully this was just a bump in the road but this one blew out all 4 tires and wrecked the transmission.

Final score- ISU 71 Bradley 56

The 2nd half was all ISU. ISU outscored Bradley 41-25 in the second half and pulled away with good three point shooting, while Bradley struggled on offense against the ISU zone defense.
Bradley is just not a very good road team. Even the one MVC win at Northern Iowa doesn't look so good after UNI played Loyola twice and got beat by 15 points, followed by a 42 point shellacking. If the outside shooting doesn't improve drastically, this team is headed for a disappointing season. After shooting 6-23 tonight from three, Bradley is now at 33.3% on the season. That ranks near the bottom of the MVC, and significantly worse than the last 4 seasons.

Bradley is now 9-5, 3-2 in the MVC. Next up, home games against Loyola (1-3, 6-1) on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 3 pm and Monday Jan. 25, at 6 pm.

Man, Pegler and Bedo sound alike. I agree. Morris left a little to be desired.

Since I'm a glass is half-full kind of guy, I'll find a silver lining in this. I think Coach Wardle, who I really like, will be with us a few more years. Until we win -- or at least consistently seriously challenge for -- a regular season MVC championship, I don't think the "Power 5" programs will come calling for him. I realize the coach always looks better when the shots go in, and that we really miss Ari and Ja'Shon, but this was a major blow to our conference title hopes and made us look like an inconsistent, middle-dweller . . . again. Yet, it wouldn't surprise me at all if we win the Valley tournament. I'm greedy. I wish we could win both.

I haven't commented in a while, but man losing by 15 to a bad ISU team is not what I expected. Our 3pt shooting hasn't been that great, I know we all expected Villie to step up and knock some down but it just hasn't happened. Yeah we were missing Henry and Boya today but we really need better play from our guards. We have so much depth but not much performance.

While we definitely missed Henry and Boya tonight, we really struggled on shots outside of 5 feet, and neither of them would have helped much with that. We have to be able to knock down shots. It didn’t help that, once again, our opponent got hot from 3. We have to lead the NCAA in desperation 3’s made against us. I was very frustrated last night because ISU is not good and losing to a bottom dwelling team in the Valley in blowout fashion, especially losing that way to our biggest rival, is unacceptable for a team that wants to win a regular season conference title. But it’s one game, and even though it was frustrating, it’s a learning opportunity and ultimately, there are still 13 games left. Plenty of chances to right the ship.
