I don't recall seeing cases of Division I men's basketball players wearing a mask while playing, though it might have happened. If it did, it has been rare.
It has occurred a few times in women's games-

It would seem very uncomfortable and difficult to breathe with heavy exertion while wearing a mask.
But today, Boston College announced that their players will all be wearing masks in future games, plus, all visiting opponents will also be required to wear masks.

Seems like a little bit of an overreaction, since the school does not allow fans or anyone other than team members and essential personnel in the arenas. And, the players and team personnel are tested 3 to 7 times a week. Plus, the age group we are talking about is the healthiest age group with the lowest rate of serious forms of the disease. And although there have been cases of positive tests among college players, there has not been a single case reported of serious complications from the disease, prolonged hospitalization, or death among the athletes from a case acquired through spread from competing on the court.
