UNI's Trae Berhow recorded the 41st triple double in MVC history in a 65-61 loss to Evansville. As far as I can tell this is the first one in Panthers history. The first recorded one was in 1958 by the Big O Oscar Robertson of Cincinnati and in fact he recorded the first 10 in MVC history including a 42 point, 22 rebound and 10 assist game against BU in December 1959. Larry Bird of ISU Blue had 5 including a 27 point, 18 rebound, 10 assist game against BU in January 1979. It's the 6th time in this century that it's been done, the last time by Cameron Krutwig of Loyola (22, 10 & 10) in December 2019. 9 times it's been done via points, rebounds and blocked shots with the last time being done by Benoit Benjamin of Creighton (29 points, 12 rebounds and 12 blocked shots) in February 1985 against BU. BU has had 2. One was by Hall of Famer Joe Allen on December 20, 1966 against Oklahoma as he had 25 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. The other one was done by one of the most least likely guys to ever do it. Cal Criddle did it against St. Louis on February 28, 1970. In his 3 year career at BU he averaged 10 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists but in this game he had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
