Absolutely got homered down the stretch. Bad foul call on Ville, contact on Childs' last bucket, missed backcourt violation, missed charge on last pass to Tilmon, and not much contact on Tilmon's basket.

EXACTLY! I’ll leave it at that! Crappy officiating!!
I know we can’t dwell on the past but we’re 2 FTs and an average 3pt shooting night from being 9-0 with wins against Xavier and Mizzou on the road. Let that sink in. Incredible!!!

It’s really hard not to be salty with them missing the backcourt vio and charge on the last play. Of course there are unbelievable positives to take from this effort. I’m not there yet, but I will be.
So close yet so far. Ville makes his only 3 at 3:44 left and put us up 50-42. They came down and made an easy shot then Ville gets called for the offensive foul, a poor call. Tillman makes 2 FT's and the lead was cut to 4 in about :30. We then come down and I thought got too passive on the next possession and fortunately got a foul call with :01 on the shot clock but McAdoo makes just 1-2 FT's. We traded baskets, ours our last points with 1:53 left. They make a FT and then Eli missed an open shot which could have sealed the game. They make 2 FT's to cut it to 2 then our next possession once again we waited to long to initiate the offense and East had to put up a tough shot. They then missed a 3 which Kent rebounded and we know the rest. Thought the officiating was really inconsistent but we fought through it and had our chances to win. Proud of how hard they play each and every game and this game was no exception. Just need to execute a little better down the stretch. Looking forward to the Mo Valley season. Onward!
Wow. As I posted earlier, I was worried going into this game but it definitely feels like we kinda stole it at the end. And by that I mean just getting lucky. I am more of a football guy but as I understand the backcourt situation, you have to have both feet over and the ball. I thought they got that right, but it was pretty close and a different set of officials could have blown the whistle there. I know there are no moral victories and stuff, but there has to be a lot of positives to take away from this game for Bradley once the emotion wears off.
I have to give props to the Bradley fans that made the trek to Columbia tonight. There was a sizeable group and they were making tons of noise, particularly in the second half. I was actually getting pretty annoyed sitting up in the 200 section. They were great and not negative or anything, I was just wanting to wallow in silence for most of that second half.
I knew Bradley had very good size and played great defense but I didn't expect that level of D. Mizzou was definitely rusty from a long layoff and I think we looked panicky on offense when it became apparent that the Braves weren't going away. Still I would say the physicality and toughness of the defense played a huge factor in Mizzou's offensive struggles. I don't know statistically where Bradley was at prior to the game but after tonight, the 2 point FG % defense of BU is #1 in the nation, per what I read on another forum. Keep that up and you will win a whole lot of games by the end of March.
Best of luck the rest of the way. I hope you get Nolan back soon and I was going to say I am rooting for you all to win 3 more games in the state of Missouri this year, but then I saw the two games in Springfield, so I will revise it and say, I hope you guys get 5 more W's in the Show Me State. If we are fortunate enough to make it to that one thing in March, I do not want to see you in our bracket. Find a nice spot in one of the other three regions.
With the Valparaiso games postponed, Bradley's next game now is not until the first of two home games against Loyola January 3 & 4. That is probably too soon to expect to have Terry Nolan, Jr. back, but at least it is closer. We really missed him tonight, though if he had played, maybe we wouldn't have gotten to see Jayson Kent's coming out party.
