  • The PJ Star is reporting Matt Roth Chooses Indiana

Don't forget that the PJS was dead wrong about Manual Cass.

BTW, one of the IU players, Ben Allen is leaving, as he sees they have recruited right over him for years to come and playing time will be nil.
    MR-- you listening?

    This isn't Manual Cass.

Thank God we can finally move on from this. It was getting nauseating. You'd think the kid was Larry Bird!

Haha I kind of agree. I wish him well but I'm glad we can move on to getting guys who want to wear the BU uniform.

That hasn't been confirmed yet. Even if (when?) it is, Allen was recruited by a different coaching staff for a different kind of position. He's a 6'11 big man that prefers to play outside. They worked hard at making him an inside player, and it didn't work out last year. We were hoping his final 2 years would be better, but playing time probably will be limited, especially this year, which would be his junior season.

Roth has been recruited by this staff only and I'm sure is well aware of the role he'll be playing for the Hoosiers.

I wish Bradley the best of luck. You have a great program! I would have completely understood if Matt decided to go there. Obviously I'm glad he chose Indiana, because I think he really fills a need in the 2008 class. We have top 15 forward and top 40 guard/ball handler coming in, but neither is an above average shooter. Matt certainly is.

Once again, best of luck to Bradley!

I don't get it. I don't understand why local players don't want to attend BU from the get go. I hope Matt enjoys going to Indiana and has an excellent college career, but it just seems to me that all of our local talent goes elsewhere in the beginning and they do not end up finishing where they started.
              Just look at examples like:

              Cellus
              Ryan Thornton
              MAtt Morann
              DeAaron Williams
              Brandon Lee
              Brandun Hughes
              Curtis Stuckey
              DUBL R 1

When I saw early summer news reports of BU players helping at camps or working out at Robertson, I immediately thought of lack of air conditioning.
Even if the programs were even had had the same opportunity, would you rather play in better facilities and probably travel more first class in season?
It has to be tough to recruit to BU's current facilities. At lease BU is building and there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
