The Loyola-Chicago State game starts at 2 pm in the Gentile Center at Loyola. It is on ESPN+.
UNI-Richmond starts at 5 pm on ESPN+.
SIU at Valpo starts at 6 pm on ESPN3
Eastern Illinois at Evansville starts at 6 pm on ESPN+.
McKendree at Drake starts at 7 pm on ESPN3.
IMO, the best game is the UNI game at #19 ranked Richmond. Richmond is 3-0 and have beaten Detroit, Morehead State, and Kentucky, who was ranked #10 at the time. On the other hand, UNI is just 1-3, having lost to 3 good teams, though all are unranked- Western Kentucky, St. Mary's, and Utah State.
A.J. Green missed their last game against NAIA St. Ambrose with a hip injury, and will not play tonight while waiting for evaluation and recommendation from specialists. Top reserve guard Antwan Kimmons will also miss the game as he continues on a leave of absence to return home and deal with family issues related to Covid. UNI also got some additional bad news as their 6'7" senior transfer from George Mason University, Goanar Mar, had his transfer waiver denied, despite 90% of such transfer waivers being approved this year by the NCAA. And freshman forward Tytan Anderson is out and still dealing with a serious knee injury suffered in the preseason. He has not played yet this season and is said to be out until January.
Here is a good report from their excellent beat writer, Cole Bair of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Gazette-
UNI men's basketball faces more adversity early in already unusual season
