    Elijah Childs, Bradley
    6-8, 230, Sr., F, Kansas City (Mo.) Lee’s Summit West

    Elijah Childs led the Braves to a 2-1 start to the season during three games at the Xavier Invitational. Named to the All-Tournament Team, Childs led Bradley with 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. The junior scored a season-high 17 points against the Big East hosts, while recording his first double-double of the year with 16 points and 10 boards against Oakland.


    Terry Nolan, Jr. also notable-
    • Terry Nolan Jr., BU -- Collected All-Tournament Team honors at the Xavier Invitational. He scored the game-winning basket with 0.8 seconds remaining to lead BU to victory in its season opener against Toledo.

    Congrats to Elijah - well deserved.

    My memory isn't very good with MVC Players of the Week.... but it seems to me like Bradley hasn't had too many of them. So this is a great start to this season. Hope there are many more to come.

        He does. I think each player gets an extra year of eligibility this year

          Another honor for Bradley senior Elijah Childs. He was just named the MVC Scholar Athlete of the Week-
          PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior forward Elijah Childs (Kansas City, Mo./Lee's Summit West) has been named the first Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week of the 2020-21 school year announced Tuesday after earning all-tournament honors at the season-opening Xavier Invitational.

            The question is how many basketball players from any school will be asked back for an extra year and then how many will want to leave any way. The better ones may want to play in Europe for money.
