Both dunks by Hannah were very impressive and BU in the ESPN top 10 back to back is a good sign!
My late quick takes from the game aren't anything different from what everyone else saw.
1. The passing was terrible and lackadaisical. To me, it didn't seem like they were taking Oakland seriously, but that's just the feeling I got. Very sloppy.
2. Ball handling wasn't great to add on to the poor passing.
3. Rebounding is concerning after this tournament. Seems like we are giving up a lot of O boards to the other team. We're not blocking out well, and when we do, we seem to have a hard time hanging on to the ball. On the bright side, Mast looks like he's pretty good at both of these things.
4. Speaking of Mast, he is really struggling with his shooting. Everything he throws up looks like a brick, but I am still hopeful as I am remembering how Ville started last year, and I expect the same kind of drastic improvement from Mast.
5. Childs is unstoppable and showed why he's the best player in the Valley. Between him and Ville, they were making everything they threw at the hoop. Very encouraging.
6. I feel bad for Antonio Thomas. He got very few minutes in this game and it looks like the playing time just isn't going to be there for him this year.
7. Defense is pretty stout outside of the Offensive rebounds we're giving up, but the D on the ball is unbelievable.
A win is a win. This is just a warm-up for the Valley. Hope we're back in Carver soon!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
