What a Surprise - Video of Braves '95 NIT Game (Full)
It just doesn’t get any more exciting than the Eagles’ first-ever appearance in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) March 16, 1995. A young Eastern s...

What a nice team we had this season and next!
Nice crowd too.
What a game! And what a crowd! The Civic Center looks packed for an NIT game.
If you don't have time to watch the entire video (almost 2 hours long) just watch the final few minutes. Bradley finally pulled it out in double-overtime 86-85. What a tough and talented team that was. David Winslow was the only senior. Those same guys won the MVC the next year by 2 games over ISU, and went to the NCAA Tournament in Providence, RI.
That Eastern Michigan team was loaded. They had 2 future NBA players- Earl Boykins and Derrick Dial, plus their leading scorer Brian Tolbert was pretty good, too.
I thought we actually lost this game, so look forward to seeing the last 30 minutes over the next few days!
Just absolutely loved this team and the following season.
The last 2 seasons for BU likely have been my favorite since 2000, but the '95-'96 team was my all-time fave (considering I became a loyal fan in 1993). I saw a few Hawkins-Les games in the last 80's with my father (vs ISU), but didn't follow BU hoops religiously until 1993.
