I'm sorry, if AJ Green can be ranked that high on the list, then Eli should be on there somewhere. AJ can score like nobody in the MVC, but both ends of the court, Eli is the best in the Valley. I don't think that list considered defense when they put it together.
Other than that, ranking Dosunmu 3rd should give him some motivation, especially against Iowa this season. It's going to be fun beating the Illini in the National Championship game this year!Last edited by Tommy; 11-14-2020, 11:38 AM.Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

IMO, the top 3 players in the MVC this season, unless someone else emerges to challenge them, are A.J. Green, Cameron Krutwig, and Elijah Childs.
All 3 were 1st team preseason All-MVC this year, and Green & Krutwig were 1st team all MVC last year. Childs would have been if he had not missed a dozen games (10 of them MVC conference games) with the broken hand. Elijah is the 4th highest returning overall scorer (14.8 ppg), the 2nd highest returning scorer in MVC games (15.3 ppg in MVC games, behind only A.J. Green), by far the top returning rebounder (8.7 rpg), the 2nd best returning shot blocker (Eli with 1.36 bpg) slightly behind Ari Boya (1.45 bpg) and the only returning MVC Tournament MVP with 2 championship rings.
