It's on the Marquee network again today, not sure what time. If you get that network, that is.
            Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

For those who couldn't watch the Bradley season preview show, here is my summary-

It was a 30 minute show recorded on the side of the court at Renaissance Coliseum
Coach Wardle and Dave Snell were sitting on stools with an appropriate 6-7 foot social distancing
They talked briefly about last season's ending & the 3 key seniors who graduated- Darrel Brown, Nate Kennell, and Koch Bar.
Then after a brief commercial break, they talked for the rest of the show about the 2020-21 season-
                  Returning players-
Elijah Childs - vocal leader, put on more muscle, has improved every year and expected to be improved this season
Danya Kingsby- played unselfishly and embraced his role last season, guarded the best perimeter players on the other teams, fastest player; helped improve Bradley's tempo
Ja'Shon Henry- he is also improved, shooting better, stronger, unselfish & doesn't care about his own stats
Ari Boya- more mentally tough; now healthy for the first time coming into a season; has high upside; can impact a game by altering shots.
Ville Tahvanainen- a scorer, but can score in other ways beside 3-point shooting; needs to improve because now he will be guarded by top defenders on other teams
Antonio Thomas- benefitted from a year learning behind Darrel Brown; improved and could play an important role this season.

                  New players-
The 3 redshirt players- learned the culture of the Bradley program by sitting out, yet being involved in all team activities
All are different but all can contribute
Terry Nolan-very vocal leader, he & Kevin McAdoo can put the ball in the basket.
Rienk Mast- 6'9", 240- inside-outside player- not your usual redshirt freshman, will help right away
Sean East- pass first PG, good vision, very vocal, "very fast"
Freshmen (Cannor Linke, Darius Hannah, & Jayson Kent) long; young; are smart players who know how to play the game; fit the expectations of the program
                  Thomas Hall- walkon who joined the program late; skilled and will only get better;
Riley Burger- walkon who helps team, too - "It takes all 15 players"

The differences this past summer due to Covid meant that players maybe a little out of condition coming in, but catching up
The offensive style will change a little with the new players, as it does every year; the defensive style stays the same, so most players are familiar with it. Coach Wardle said he has great players, with great families; and they all are hard workers
Coach mentioned how important the assistant coaches are, as well as all the support staff.
He also mentioned Mike Nesbitt, the new Director of Player Development and Video Operations- will play a "huge" role
They discussed the schedule for a couple minutes- Bradley will start with 3 tough games- Because of all the changes related to the pandemic, as well as having no exhibition games, etc., the non-conference is more important than ever to prepare for MVC games.
The coaches constantly emphasize to players to be smart about socializing & hope to avoid issues with Covid-19
Coach's motto for this season: "Stay positive, test negative".

It was over too soon. Too bad they couldn't make it a 1 hour show, and go into greater depth about last year's successes, where the 3 seniors are now, and talk more about the returning and new players, and maybe show some video.

Is there a reason Jayson Kent is not mentioned with the freshman?

Actually, when Coach Wardle talked about "the freshmen", he didn't mention their individual names, probably because there wasn't a lot of time to fit everything into a 30 minute program. I added those in the parentheses in my summary, and omitted Jayson Kent. So I am sure Coach Wardle was including him with his discussion that they are all "long; young; are smart players who know how to play the game; fit the expectations of the program".

Thanks Mike. I will correct my summary above.
