    What about his socks?

My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

2020-21 season preview from Braves Vision, a Bradley student sports broadcasting group.
Pretty good job despite technical issues with one of the microphones.

Great video, Coach! Lots of highlights of players we haven’t seen play in a BU uniform yet, and they all really get me excited about this season.

I particularly liked the couple of short clips of Nolan. That clip of him going up strong and dunking over another player was really aggressive and impressive.

Sean East is going to be a difference maker, as well, and all the new players should contribute. I personally have extremely high hopes for Linke. Not sure exactly what it is about him, but I think all the video I’ve seen has me excited because he seems like such a high effort guy in such a big body.

This season can’t start soon enough. Can’t wait to smack down Xavier and Missouri.
        Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Good video. They talked some about deciding who to redshirt-fortunately with the NCAA decision there doesn’t seem to be much of a reason to redshirt anyone. In essence you can play this season and still play 4 other seasons. Am I missing something ?

Playing this season is still not an assured thing. Season might not happen at all or get cut short, I think that giving an extra year of eligibility is a good move. The way things are going with the pandemic right now is not making this season look good.

Though I fear you might be right about not getting through the season, the one thing that makes me a bit more optimistic is the experience so far with college football (and a few other sports). They have gone pretty well with few instances of Covid-19 cases. Here is one that was reported yesterday-
              https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...itive-covid-19

I also haven't seen evidence that the schools that are allowing fan attendance have seen a demonstrable spread of the disease.

This might have been posted elsewhere, but for what it's worth, one good study of high school sports and Covid done by the University of Wisconsin showed that students who participated in sports were at no greater risk for Covid-19 than those whose sports were cancelled. However, the athletes who were deprived of sports when they were cancelled were at a much greater risk for mental health issues....

...we found that physical activity levels had dropped by 50% during the pandemic, and symptoms of depression had increased dramatically. Prior to 2020, less than 10% of Wisconsin athletes reported moderate to severe symptoms of depression. Following the widespread cancelation of school and spring sports due to COVID-19, this number had risen to 33%. In the full nationwide sample, 38% of adolescent athletes reported moderate to severe depression and 35% reported moderate to severe anxiety.

They have been playing football here in Texas, both high school and college, for several weeks. I'm not aware of any major issues. However, almost all schools in Texas plays football and it would be hard to be aware of happenings in all schools. We live in north Texas. Anyone here remember the Mean Green?

Like you, OTF, us old-timers remember The University of North Texas "Mean Green" because they were a member of the MVC from 1957-1975. Amazingly, in their 18 years in the MVC, they only had 1 winning season in the MVC.
Check out the North Texas Mean Green College Basketball History, Stats, Records, Polls, Leaders and More College Basketball Stats at Sports-Reference.com

Bradley feasted on North Texas in those 18 season, beating them 17 out of 18 times in Peoria, and winning 13 out of 18 times in Denton, Texas.
Overall, Bradley was 30-6 against them in the 18 years they were in the MVC, including BU winning the first 22 times they met!

They actually had a good basketball team last year and won their conference. An acquaintance kept reminding me.
