Wyatt Wheeler, the beat writer for Missouri State put together a Zoom video conference session with many of the beat writers for the MVC teams. Bradley's beat writer Dave Reynolds of the PJ Star was not included, nor was Illinois State's Jim Benson of the Pantagraph.
The following beat writers were included-
Missouri State- Wyatt Wheeler of the Springfield News-Leader
Northern Iowa- Nick Petaros of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier
Southern Illinois- Todd Hefferman of the Southern Illinoisan
Valparaiso- Paul Oren of the Northwest Indiana Times
Indiana State- Todd Golden of the Terre Haute Tribune-Star
Chad Lindeskog- Evansville Courier & Press
Nick Schultz- Loyola - formerly of the Loyola Phoenix (Loyola student newspaper), but since he graduated, he now runs a Chicago basketball blog called Off The Inbound (http://www.off-the-inbound.com/).
It was a pretty good discussion, mostly about the teams represented by those 7 beat writers. There was very little mention of Bradley, with the exception that they agreed with Bradley #3 in the MVC preseason poll, though a couple writers voiced surprise that Bradley did get 1 first place vote and they wondered who cast that vote.
