Dave Reynolds must read Bradleyfans

Remember a while back when there was a thread or two complaining about how the Journal Star didnt provide enough Bradley Bball coverage. Well, it seems like shortly after we did that complaining, the PJS picked it up a notch, mostly Dave Reynolds.

Also, it seems like almost too much of a coincidence how closely his articles follow our most recent discussions/ concerns.

Case in point, this mornings Austin article:

I think its kind of funny that the "news" comes here to get its news.

I think Dave does a fine job .........you have to remember....we talk about BU ball and everything else related 24/7......it would be hard for any news paper to keep up with the insanity!

Or maybe he actually spoke with JL to get his info. Dave is NOT relying on 2nd hand reports for his info. BOOK IT. I can report rumor....Dave has to have the facts straight. PERIOD.

I've spoke with Dave about message boards... and yes, he does read them. But I wouldn't say this is his #1 source for info.

So if all this is accurate, Rashad has been in CA most of the summer at one of Chaffey College's community facilities finishing his course work! Chaffey is a good community college program and has been around longer than BU in the Rancho Cucamonga area! Hopefully Rashad had good guidance on taking the right courses - and he qualifies?

Senior forward Matt Salley is back on campus after returning home to New York for the latter part of the summer rather than attending the second session. "He hadn't been home for more than a year," Les said. "He worked out hard in Summer I, so he went home after that."

The Missouri Valley Conference schedule is expected to be released by the end of this week
Two other news-worthy items! Good to know Salley seems to still be in the mix. He will be a vital part of this team as he is one of the handfull of returning players. I had today marked as the day the schedule might come out, but I can wait a couple more days.

Chaffey College

Just a side note - Chaffey College just concluded their Summer Sessions last friday, August 17. So with that and the coming start to the fall session I'm sure it's going to take some time for a college of this size to get all the requests for transcripts certified and mailed out!

I think the BEST news in the article is the news on Matt Salley. I think the article would have had quite a different tone if Salley's status was as questionable as many of us think it has been.

I still worry about Austin. Yes, he's intent on coming here. But, what if BU deems his transcript unacceptable, or say that some credits don't transfer in?

Let's hope we get good news on MR today, and it continues through the weekend with Austin's permanent arrival, and Matt Salley being part of the team again.

I would think that all that leg work would be done already and that the staff has made sure that RA will qualify and be here ready to go; that may even have been the reason for the delay. I don't think that the staff would have him bust his butt all summer just to get here and not be able to qualify.
