  • New videos of Bradley commit Connor Hickman

This thread contains several game videos we were able to obtain featuring Connor Hickman.
Hopefully, Bradley fans can get a chance to watch some or all of these. You will be quite impressed with his all-around skills.

    1) This one is a complete game video of the 2021 Indiana Elite team vs. Omaha Sports Academy from April 13, 2019. Connor was still a sophomore at Bloomington South HS. It was only the second game Connor played with the IE team. He is #10 in red.
The Indiana Elite team had only 5 players available for the game, and the opposing team had some very talented kids. Connor spent most of the game guarding a 4-star recruit Hunter Sallis, who has offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan, UCLA, Kansas, Louisville, Gonzaga, Auburn, and other top schools. Some rankings have Hunter Sallis as a Top 10-15 recruit in the class of 2021, and one of the top couple point guards in the class.-

IE2021 won 87-80, Connor finished with 23 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds.

    2) This one is a full game video from April 27, 2019 featuring Indiana Elite 2021 vs. Carroll Elite. Again, Connor is #10 in white.
This is the IE2021 team's second tournament together, and first one with a full roster.
Indiana Elite won 69-47. Connor played primarily PG in this game and had 6 points, 10 assists, and 2 steals.

      3) A full game video from 7/12/19 between Indiana Elite 2021 vs. SE United. Connor is #10 in white.
This is the Adidas Gauntlet Final. The video quality isn't quite as good as the first two videos. SE United had Vanderbilt commit Peyton Daniels, #1, who was on fire from start to finish in this game (he couldn't buy a shot in the next game which they lost).
Connor is not a starter in this game, but comes off the bench at the 9:35 mark and plays the rest of the game.
Indiana Elite 2021 lost 57-55. Connor finished with 23 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

        4) Bloomington South High School vs. Greensburg played on a neutral court 12/28/2019 - Connor Hickman #10 in black, with a black T-shirt under the jersey. This is his junior season at BSHS. Greensburg was a top 5 3A team all season with a 6'7 wing D1 recruit going to Wright State and another guard with some low D1 interest, but most D2 and below schools watching.
Bloomington South won 75-48. Connor with a great game had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

          5) Bloomington South vs. Silver Creek 02/01/2020 - Connor Hickman is #10 in black with the black T-shirt under the jersey.
Silver Creek was the #1 3A team in Indiana all season (Bloomington South was the #1 4A team at this point). Connor's Indiana Elite teammate 6'8" Trey Kaufman plays for Silver Creek. He is rated by many as the #1 player in the state of Indiana. They also have a 6'6" mid-major recruit and a 6' low D1 type guard. In what some reported was one of the best high school games seen live in several years,
Bloomington South won 69-66. Connor finished with 13 points, 9 rebounds,2 assists, and 2 steals.

            6) Bloomington South vs.Columbus North 02/14/2020 - Connor Hickman is #10 in black.
Columbus North was the primary challenger for the conference title to Bloomington South. They have a 2021 guard committed to Army, a wing going to play NAIA, and their big center is a baseball pitcher going to IU.
Bloomington South won 63-49. Connor had 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

              7) Indiana Elite 2021 vs. Indy Heat 2021 08/08/2020 - Connor HIckman is #11 in white.
IE2021 played 14 games in 6 weeks in the abbreviated summer ball season. You don't see a lot of Connor's individual game in this one, but you can see how he plays his role in handling the ball, initiating the offense, and playing defense. He finished with 6 points and 2 rebounds. Most of the offense was provided by Indiana Elite's two terrific inside players, 4-star Indiana University commit Logan Duncomb, and 4-star forward Trey Kaufman.

8 ) Bloomington Buckets vs. Grand Park Premier UA Rise 08/16/2020 - Connor Hickman is #6 in the white jersey with the black stripes down the sides.
This was the last travel basketball tournament for Connor. This was a thrown together team of kids from Bloomington who played together through elementary and middle school. They hadn't all played together for 4-5 years and wanted to have one last run. The GPP Premier UA Rise team was going to play on the 2nd tier UA circuit and is made up of starters from mostly different Indianapolis high schools. Connor's legs were tired after playing 3 games in two days prior to this one.
Connor didn't shoot the three well in the first half but you get to see how he attacks the basket with several impressive drives. He hit several threes in the second half and played every minute of the game. The game stayed close and came down to the final seconds.
Connor's team missed a three at the buzzer to tie, and lost 80-77.
Connor finished with 33 points and 7 rebounds.

Thanks Coach!! These Hickman game videos will keep me busy for awhile. Just watched the Columbus North game and Connor looked like the best player on the floor. I think he had five 3 pointers in that game.

Thoughts from the Silver Creek game... No audio, but apparently Connor was in foul trouble as he sat most of the 2nd quarter. Made a huge 3 pointer to tie up the game with under a minute to play. Anthony Leal (#3) was terrific and demonstrated why he was chosen Mr. Basketball in Indiana. Trey Kaufman (#4), the 6' 9" Center for Silver Creek, was unstoppable. Very versatile big man. Not Connor's best game, yet Silver Creek made their run when he was on the bench.

Those were my opinions when I watched that game (labelled #5 above). In some ways, it was similar to the #7 game between Indiana Elite and Indy Heat, where Connor didn't score or show his skills as much, but he only played less than ½ the game because his team is so stacked with talent. A couple dominant 4-star big men, Trey Kaufman and Logan Duncomb, were on his Indiana Elite team.
Bloomington South's star player Anthony Leal is a very accomplished guard and he should have a nice college career at Indiana. Connor is not flashy, but does everything well.
Both of the D1 players on his Bloomington South team from last year- Anthony Leal (now at IU) and Noah Jager (now at West Point) are gone this year, so Connor is expected to become even more of a scorer for his team. Last year he averaged 14.5 points, four rebounds and three assists per game. He will also get more defensive attention this year, too.

Connor Hickman was been working out against some pro-level competition a couple days ago*.
Here is a video of him going against Bradley alum Koch Bar (Connor is in the white T-shirt)-

Koch has actually been working out with Connor for the last couple months, and it's helped Connor.
I am hearing he has an incredible work ethic, has improved his jump shot and has extended his range.

*For those who missed it, Koch Bar has signed with a pro team in Denmark-

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
