    Jacksonville University fires Tony Jasick.
Gotta love how they frame the firing-

Jasick was 147-170 in 7 seasons at Jacksonville U.

The recent PJStar article that discussed the players who should be back next year made no mention of East or McAdoo. I thought that both contributed to the team. Is something going on here that has not been publicized?

I doubt it, though you'd have to ask Dave Eminian why he wrote that article but failed to even mention those two.

Being reported that DePaul will fire Dave Leitao.
If true, watch them to make a strong effort to entice Porter Moser.

I wonder if Javon Freeman-Liberty is having second thoughts.
DePaul has been a disaster. They have finished in last place in the Big East for the last 5 years, and haven't had a winning Big East record since 2006-07 under Jerry Wainwright.

I'm seeing on Twitter that Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens, formerly of Butler, is being considered for this position. Not sure how valid the tweets are. We shall see, I suppose.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

There is always a lot of talk by Indiana fans whenever there is a coaching change. So far, I think all of the talk about Stevens is unofficial, though he seems like a good candidate. Currently, he is employed by the Boston Celtics with a salary around $4 million/year.

DePaul is a tough place for a coach. They have spent a lot of money and the taxpayers of Chicago gave them a new stadium that few fans attend. They cannot compete in the Big East. It is kind of like watching the Illini football program, where lots of money is spent, with high expectations and new coaches come and leave with the same results.
